FORGIVENESS BRINGS HEALING AND FREEDOM

Forgiveness is a decision… Choose Forgiveness!

What’s hindering you from being free? What’s stopping you from receiving God’s manifested blessings in your life? Some may blame it on their broken marriage or problems growing up in a dysfunctional home. Fault could be placed on an awful, boss, who is mistreating them on their job. Blame could also be set on the ultimate betrayal, of a trusted friend, who chose to share your confided secret.

If you live on this planet, I am pretty sure, that you have experienced some type of hurt, offense, emotional pain and/or mistreatment. Throughout this journey of life, we have all had our share of test, trials and difficulties. Unfortunately, these challenges can lead to anger and bitterness, which can transform into an unforgiving heart.

Even though that pain and heartache is real, and we may truly be victims of circumstances, the ball is still in our court. This change lies within each one of us. This great change will occur when we obey God’s Word!” We may blame people or situations, but having an unforgiving heart will “HINDER” us from being healed and free.

According to God’s Word, we have to release these negative emotions and walk in forgiveness. In Mark 11:25, it states, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.” We must forgive because we definitely want God to forgive us, so we can be free and healed of that weigh that’s holding us back.

God has so much in store for us and He knows that having an unforgiving heart will hinder His awesome plan for our lives. In order for us to receive from God, we must obey and forgive. In Hebrews 10:36, it states, For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.”

God’s Word is here to help and guide us. He doesn’t want us in bondage to pinned up anger, bitterness and frustrating relationships. In Ephesians 4:31-32, It states, “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

If God can forgive us, of all our “issues,” we must forgive others! I can recall many times where I had to push through the pain and forgive. Now being on the other side, called “Freedom,” I know it was life changing for me. God has truly healed my heart and now I am walking in the freedom that He ordained and destined for my life!

God doesn’t want us to be victims anymore! He wants us to be victorious and living life to the fullest! In 1Corinthians 15:57, it states, “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” This verse is so wonderful because it reminds us that God has already given us the victory. If we know that victory is already ours, we can forgive, and thank God in advance, for that victory!

Operating in forgiveness is God’s will for our lives. Being free, of the stress, drama and anxiety will result in being healthier and that’s healthier emotionally, physically and spiritually. Who doesn’t want to be free? Who wants to have gut wrenching miserable emotions going on, every time those thoughts of that “situation” come up?” God wants you healed and free, so you can be all that He’s called you to be!

Even today, some medical studies agree with God’s Word, stating that being free from negative emotions, have major health benefits. So, let start today and stay healthy! Let us all get in position to walk in God’s freedom! Let’s not wait any longer! It’s time for a change and this change is awesome and liberating!

Some of you may say, “Minister Jackson, you just don’t know all that I’ve been through and you just don’t know my situation!” This may be true. I don’t know what you’ve been through and I may not know your situation; but one thing I do know is this: Pain is pain, and hurt is hurt, and God is the HEALER of them all. So, let’s be free of this hindrance! Forgiveness is a decision… Choose Forgiveness! Glory to God!

“A merry heart does good, like medicine, But a broken spirit dries the bones.”

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”

–Matthew 6:9-13

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
